About

Dear Freeda is a U.S.-based creative studio building physical and digital experiences through innovative design and marketing. This project showcases the website built for their company, with a closer look at some of its more distinctive components and interactions. Visit the project at dearfreeda.com.

From the outset and carried throughout the website, a subtle visual cue appears across the interface in the form of a floating orb. The element moves across the page in randomized paths and repositions as users scroll, snapping into alignment with images and components. It layers in front of or behind content to create depth and guide visual focus.

A collection of large and small background images employs subtle parallax scrolling, gliding smoothly at varied speeds to create layered depth during page navigation. Select elements incorporate a delicate twinkling effect, adding sparkle and dynamism that enhances immersion by establishing distinct foreground and background planes responding independently to scroll velocity.

Further down the page, hovering over the curated project titles triggers a sequence of images that enter from both sides of the screen and converge at the center along a smooth sine wave path, creating animated project previews.

Another notable interactive component is a large arch featuring floating, rotating fruit elements, each representing a company virtue. The structure can be rotated through swipe gestures, buttons, or by selecting individual elements for more precise navegation, combining 3D motion with navigation.

Each project page presents its content through a horizontally structured layout composed of modular sections that combine background imagery with layered foreground visuals. These foreground elements feature a subtle parallax effect, introducing gentle depth and motion as the user navigates through the project.
